China International Software & Information Service Fair 2009 (CISIS) opened on June 18, 2009, at World Expo Centre, Dalian, China. The Fair, approved by the State Council, was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Liaoning Provincial Government. With the theme “Flourishing in Time of Difficulties”, the Fair demonstrates the development potential of enterprises through high-level forum, exhibition, project cooperation.
CISIS 2009 covered many activities and have many highlights. First, hot topics to interpret the development trend of the technology industry. Government department of many countries, well-known enterprises and major provinces & cities sending people to deliver speeches in High-level Forum, Entrepreneurs Forum and Governor and Mayor Forum, did deliberation on policies and measures on addressing the financial crisis. Hot topics were “Crisis and Opportunity”, “Innovation and Growth” and “Integration and All-win”. Second, the Fair was focused on the development trend of technology, and displayed the enterprises’ development vigor. China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, the three major e-communication operators came together to demonstrate the brand-new application of 3G through use by audience. Third, the CISIS became more and more professional. Besides the principal forum, this CISIS organized a series of Industrial Cooperation Forums such as industrial information application and specialized technology seminars on the relevant fields such as embedded software, software test, IC industry, intelligence card application, iron and steel, space, heat supply, Retail & Logistics, bio-pharmaceuticals, medical treatment, Internet, cloud computing, etc. Fourth, the CISIS is popular both at home and abroad. The number of delegations sent by province and municipalities to the CISIS hit record high, and more than 30 overseas delegations from Japan, Korea, Australia, America and other countries also attended the CISIS on invitation.
Present at the High-level Forum were Mr. Wang Chao, Assistant Minister of Commerce of PRC, Mr. Du Zhanyuan, Deputy Minister of Technology of PRC, Mr. Yu Ping, Vice Chairman of CCPIT of PRC, Mr. Xia Deren, Party Secretary of Dalian City, Mr. Masaaki Taniai, Japan Parliamentary Secretary for Economy, Trade and Industry. CEOs and high level executives from Intel, Microsoft, McKinsey, IBM, SAP, Neusoft, Hisoft, Linux, Cosco, were keynote speakers at the Forums.
